The prestigious award was presented at the Louisiana Primary Care Association's (LCPA) 30th Annual Continuing Education Conference that took place in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in September, 2013.
The LPCA's Healthcare Provider of the Year award recognizes an outstanding health care provider, employed by a member of the association, who has demonstrated dedication, expertise and concern for their patients in a compassionate and comprehensive manner. Additionally, the recipient of this award must demonstrate (i) a contribution to the health care of families through the provision of excellence in health care and education, (ii) improvement of access to primary care for vulnerable populations and (iii) years of service within the community health center program.

Teche Action Clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center, based in Franklin, Louisiana.
