CGM Support hours update 

CGM Support Center will be closed on November 23 and 24, 2023, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Critical support will be available via our support line, 877-564-4414. 

We will resume our normal hours at 8AM ET on November 27, 2023.

CGM Portal update – Feature update and support center decommissioning

The CGM Portal team is happy to announce the that the Latest News and CGM Knowledge features are now available for all users on the new CGM Portal. With this release, we aim to ensure you are kept up to date on all that is important related to your CGM product(s) as well as have the ability to access historical and new knowledge, as needed. This includes notifications and documentation related to new CGM product releases, newsletter content, relevant schedule maintenance, and much more.  

 

Latest News

The Latest News section will now be a one stop place to get notifications and news related to your CGM product(s) and will also contain additional notifications that may impact your business. Check back on both the dashboard and the “News” tab for all the latest posted content. 

 

CGM Knowledge Base

CGM Knowledge Base is meant to replace and improve the previous knowledgebase and documentation solution we offered in the legacy eMDs Support Center. It is designed to offer more advanced searching and better content accessibility. We will continue to improve on both content as well as dynamic knowledge searching. This solution is a great step up from its predecessor. 

 

With the launch of these new features, we believe the CGM Portal should now address any need to access the legacy eMDs Support Centers and, as such, we will now be officially deactivating use of this system starting later this month. 

 

For our CGM PRACTICE PARTNER customers and Partners, know that we will continue to maintain this site to allow access to and user management of the eMDs Practice Support website, but please refer to the CGM Portal for all content updates and notifications.

CGM APRIMA support update – Client support mailbox decommissioning

Now that we are several months into the rollout of our new CGM Portal, support would like to notify our customers and resellers that, as of January 1, 2024, we will no longer be accepting ticket creation emails via the legacy APRIMACLIENTSUPPORT@emds.com or APRIMACLIENTSUPPORT@aprima.com email addresses. The new CGM Portal provides multiple avenues to create new support tickets and has capabilities to view, filter, and update existing tickets. it is also where you can get the latest information about CGM APRIMA and your other CGM products. 

 

We will continue to use the APRIMACLIENTSUPPORT@emds.com address for other support related communications, such as notifications and upgrade scheduling, but this address will begin to produce a bounce back reminding customers that it should no longer be utilized for ticket creation in the new year.

 

With this change we will move solely to the CGM Portal and phone queue for managing support requests. Please update any bookmarks and shortcuts you have to the old APRIMACLIENT email address. 

 

You can reach us at 877-564-4414 between 7 AM and 7 PM CST Monday through Friday for non-critical requests, and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for down system support. Also, this in no way impacts ticket updates/communications via the support@emds-us.cgm.com email address, this can still be utilized to REPLY and update your existing CGM support tickets.

CGM Support reminder – Microsoft SQL 2014 end of life July 9th, 2024

CGM would like to remind all VARs and their customers utilizing our CGM solutions via Microsoft SQL 2014 that this software has an end of life date set by Microsoft as of July 9, 2024.  As such, CGM solutions will no longer support the use of Microsoft SQL Server 2014 as of this date and we suggest you make plans now to upgrade or migrate off this solution well in advance of this deadline. 

 

What is happening? Microsoft is ending all support for Microsoft SQL Server 2014 on July 9th, 2024.

 

Which products are impacted? Any customer who is running a product with SQL 2014. 

 

Why won’t CGM support older versions? CGM maintains internal environments designed to ensure strict levels of security for all CGM maintained production systems. CGM will discontinue testing updates to applications on Microsoft SQL Server 2014, and therefore will not be able to support or diagnose issues likely related to clients utilizing this version.

 

What should VARs and customers do? If you have not already done so, please begin preparing now for the end of life of SQL Server 2014 and move to a Microsoft and CGM supported SQL version. Please review your CGM product’s system requirements for recommended MS SQL versions. Use this as an opportunity to sell SQL upgrades! We even have a compliance letter template you can use for customer messaging. 

 

Why does it matter? CGM will not support these older versions. Continued use of unsupported software and application versions can put you and your customers at risk as these systems will no longer receive security patches released to address known issues or vulnerabilities.
