We promote dialog in the healthcare sector and ensure that costs are saved in a meaningful way. Everyone should benefit from medical progress with the help of IT.
Koblenz – CompuGroup Medical, one of the world's leading e-health providers, reports a successful financial year 2025. Group revenue rose by 5 percent to EUR 1.213 billion. Organic growth also amounted to 5 percent. This met the guidance for the revenue development at the upper end of the range. All operating segments contributed to this growth. The hospital business (HIS segment) remained the main growth driver with organic growth of 10 percent. While software revenue with doctor’s offices in the AIS segment increased by 1 percent, revenue with pharmacies in the PCS segment grew organically by 7 percent.
Prof. (apl.) Dr. med. Daniel Gotthardt, CEO, emphasizes: “We look back on another successful year in which we once again impressively confirmed both our strong market position and our innovative strength. We have convinced our customers with a unique product portfolio and groundbreaking technical innovations. With a clear focus on AI solutions, we are creating valuable space for patient care and are thus expanding our leading position.”
CFO Daniela Hommel said: “Following the successful delisting in June 2025, CGM’s focus is entirely on innovation and investment in customer satisfaction – regardless of the short-term expectations of the capital market. In addition, during the previous financial year, we successfully placed the company's financing for the next five years.”
In 2025, CEO Prof. (apl.) Dr. med. Daniel Gotthardt initiated a group-wide transformation towards an even more customer-centric organization. The goal is to expand modern cloud, platform and data solutions to further digitize the healthcare sector. A particular focus is on the use of Artificial Intelligence across the entire product portfolio: AI-supported applications assist doctors and healthcare professionals, reducing their administrative workload and freeing up more time for patient care.
CGM implemented numerous key innovations in its products across all segments in the past financial year, thereby further expanding its role as a driver of digitization in the healthcare sector.
This achievement is based on the comprehensive, integrated product portfolio and on CGM’s highly qualified and highly motivated international team. Spread across locations in 19 countries, the average number of employees in financial year 2025 remained roughly at the previous year’s level with 8,723.
In the AIS segment, the focus was on the market launch of the new comprehensive cloud solution CGM Praxis. Under the new CGM ONE brand, CGM offers with CGM Praxis a modern, fully cloud-based Ambulatory Information System with a multi-client concept and integrated AI functions to support workflow management. With this, the company is setting new standards for efficiency, flexibility, and user-friendliness in doctors’ offices. Another important success was winning one of Europe’s largest tenders for outpatient software in the armed forces: CGM equips the German Armed Forces’ military doctors and dentists with an Ambulatory and Dental Information System, providing a complete solution consisting of established and innovative software modules from a single source. In addition, CGM’s TI Messenger received product approval from gematik at the beginning of the year. It enables all stakeholders in the healthcare sector to communicate securely and in real time via the telematics infrastructure, regardless of their location, thereby supporting the automation and acceleration of processes in everyday healthcare. In the US, the acquisition of US reseller Ehrmedbilling significantly strengthened the company’s revenue cycle management (RCM) offering and further expanded its market presence in the outpatient sector.
In the HIS segment, the rollout of the new product generation to key customers has been further advanced. A flagship project was the joint large-scale TI-project with emeis, one of the largest operators of nursing homes in Europe, connecting 152 German nursing facilities to the telematics infrastructure on schedule. The initiative underscores CGM’s high level of process and solution expertise in complex digitization and change management projects in the healthcare sector.
In the PCS segment, the focus was on innovative cloud technologies. Following its successful launch in Italy, the cloud-based pharmacy software CGM STELLA was introduced also in Germany in 2025. The solution relieves pharmacies of the burden of local data backup systems through modern encryption technologies and maps real-life pharmacy processes with intelligent, practical workflows – regardless of the location of employees.
The 2025 annual report will be published on March 5, 2026.
