Software Engineering (Healthcare) - Dual Study Programme

The Bachelor's degree programme in Software Engineering (Healthcare) is a practice-integrated dual study programme that leads to a Bachelors of Engineering degree in eight semesters. Lectures during the theory phase ar held at the RheinAhrCampus in Remagen. The RheinAhrCampus is a young and modern university location in the north of Rhineland-Platinate and one of three locations of the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences.

The programme is clearly structured, consisting of five subject semesters, two practical phases (third and sixth semesters) and a final project and bachelor's phase (eighth semester). During your studies, you will learn about the latest software development tools in small learning groups during the theory phases. You will be able to use suitable software tools with confidence and generate efficient program code. At the same time, the mathematics modules will teach you a high level of problem-solving skills.

From day one, you will be integrated into our teams and involved in real development projects. Using state-of-the-art methods and technologies, you will work with your colleagues to create professional software for the healthcare sector. You will be able to apply and deepen your theoretical knowledge directly in practice. In this way, you will contribute directly to the joint success of the company.

Study at the cutting edge

The degree programme was designed on the initiative of CompuGroup Medical in cooperation with Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. The first cohort of students started in 2014 with a total of 10 CGM students.

Since the very beginning, we have been working closely with Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, together with many other cooperation partners. Regular coordination committees review what has been learned and continuously review and improve the orientation of the degree programme – an absolute recipe for success in such a fast-paced and constantly changing IT world.
