E-health is an especially innovative industry of the future – Frank Gotthardt, who holds a degree in Information Technology, has already known this for over 30 years and founded CompuGroup Medical in 1987.
His vision is more relevant today than ever: To simplify and enrich the work of healthcare service providers, doctors, laboratories, and hospitals using intelligent and secure communication and networking solutions. We work for the people working in healthcare, and true to our slogan – Synchronizing Healthcare – this naturally also involves patients: Among other things, CompuGroup Medical enables secure and confidential communication between doctor and patient.
One important reason for our success is our great willingness to innovate. Things should also stay this way, explains Michael Rauch, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. KGaA:
"In the short term we are currently living in a time characterized by unknowns, but the business development in recent months and the unprecedented worldwide acceleration of the digitization of healthcare systems encourage us to further increase investments in innovation for further growth."
The company has grown enormously since it was founded: first through the consolidation of subsidiaries into CompuGroup Holding AG, then with its IPO in 2007. The company was renamed CompuGroup Medical AG (CGM) and the subsidiaries were united under this umbrella brand in 2010. The company was converted into a societas Europaea (SE) in 2016, then into a partnership limited by shares (KGaA) in 2020 in order to more easily realize capital increases for the further growth of the company.
With revenue of EUR 837 million in 2020, over 1.5 million users, locations in 18 countries, and products in 56 countries worldwide, today CGM is the e-health company with one of the broadest reaches among service providers. Our roughly 8,000 highly qualified employees meet the continuously growing challenges in the healthcare sector with sustainable solutions. We can rely on each other and go ALL IN! together – with meaningful questions, clever ideas, a fresh perspective, and courage for new things, thereby contributing to the success of CGM.
