At CGM, adopting Agentic AI is about more than just staying ahead. It’s about becoming more and more creative, more impactful, more future-ready. In our Year of the Extraordinary, we don’t just ride the wave of change. We help shape it.
On July 30th, in the evening, we’re taking the conversation public. CGM Software Romania, The Center of Expertise in Software Development in CGM, will host a special meetup organized by the amazing people from Rubik Hub, titled “The Agentic AI Revolution in IT: How Windsurf and Copilot Are Transforming Digital Culture.”
This is what we will be doing:
- Demo Agentic AI Tools by Adrian Barna, VP Software Development, AI Evangelist and the one who brought the initiative into CGM Romania;
- Debate Panel moderated by Florin Cardașim. Guests: Marius Ursache and Dragoș Grosu, plus all the specialists in the room;
- Networking rooftop evening. Because all good things happen over wine and around great tech people in the industry.
Stay tuned these days on our LinkedIn page for details. Whether you’re curious or already experimenting, this is your chance to hear from pioneers, ask questions, and see what the future of development looks like up close.
We are also looking for more AI Evangelists, like we already have in CGM, evangelists who are ready to shape, lead, and inspire the future of work in IT. So, who knows, maybe you will not only learn about Agentic AI, if you join the meetup, but you will also become an AI Evangelist within CGM. From demo to dialogue: let’s meet and explore together Agentic AI.
Let’s build it together.
Let’s build it smarter.
Let’s build it extraordinary.
The decision to embrace Agentic AI across CGM is not just a milestone – it’s a mindset. It’s a strategic move, yes, but also a deeply human one. It’s about efficiency, but also about making work more enjoyable and impactful. This step reflects who we are: a company that pioneers in tech, leads in eHealth, and invests in its people. We have some of the best minds in AI and technology, and we’re not just revolutionizing eHealth – we’re redefining how innovation looks and feels inside our company.
This initiative was born in Germany, where Peter Schroeder, Chief AI Officer, brought WindSurf into the company and Andreas Miller, Head of Group AI Engineering, who delighted us all with GitHub Copilot. Together, these tools offer a new way of thinking and working, by giving developers AI teammates who don’t just autocomplete code but actually understand and execute tasks.
Watch the video with Peter and Andreas explaining why they brought Agentic AI into CGM and how it helps teams and the company grow.
Agentic AI is not your average autocomplete. It’s an autonomous assistant that plans, decides, and executes multi-step tasks, so engineers can focus on architecture and innovation. Think of WindSurf and Copilot as two gifted brothers in a friendly competition to outdeliver each other. They let our teams ride the wave of every new idea without getting bogged down in repetitive tasks.
In Copilot’s Agent Mode, the AI owns a ticket from start to finish - planning, coding, testing, and opening a pull request. WindSurf’s Cascade Agent, on the other hand, handles sweeping changes across files and environments with a single natural-language prompt. This evolution turns software development from hand-crafted instructions into intent-driven design.
When Adrian Barna, VP of Software Development and AI Evangelist, discovered the true potential of Agentic AI, he acted fast to ensure every CGMer in Romania could benefit.
The spark came from an ordinary sync with a stakeholder who mentioned Windsurf with very much excitement. Curious, I installed the IDE, typed a single prompt, and watched it build a full React app plus the matching Java backend in seconds. Stunned, I paid subscription and spent the weekend exploring; by Sunday night I had rebuilt an application that had previously cost me three months of work. That moment convinced me to "preach" Agentic AI inside our BU and share the story with every CGMer I meet.
Adrian’s enthusiasm for AI is not a recent spark. It’s part of a larger pattern of curiosity, ambition, and forward-thinking that has defined his journey at CGM from the very beginning. As one of the fastest-rising leaders in the company, Adrian consistently explores the bleeding edge of technology, seeking not only how tools can improve performance, but how they can transform people’s daily experience at work. For him, Agentic AI is not just about productivity - it’s about unleashing potential, challenging conventional thinking, and making room for bold ideas to surface and scale.
Isn’t it cheating? Doesn’t Agentic AI do the developer’s job? Not quite. These tools are like having power tools instead of a handsaw. They handle repetitive, routine code, but human vision, quality, and creativity are still irreplaceable. Developers now spend more time reviewing and refining, not grinding through boilerplate.
As Eduard Bosnea, Senior Full Stack Developer, puts it:
After experimenting individually with AI coding assistants, Team TI has started integrating GitHub Copilot into our daily workflow. While it has its limitations, we've found it highly effective for rapid prototyping and implementing visual interfaces for our upcoming project - cutting front-end development time from days to just a few hours.
We decided to sit in the driver’s seat, not the back one. Working closely with the WindSurf and Microsoft teams, we’re tailoring Agentic AI to CGM’s real-world needs, not waiting for the tech world to catch up. Here’s what that decision delivers:
We want to be leading; this is what embracing Agentic AI is about for me. The constant of change in the world never stops and yet now we can see a larger and more dramatic one evolving. We see that specifically in development Agentic AI is revolutionary. I’m particularly proud to work for a company that is committed to leading the pack when it comes to AI assisted and supported work, in a same way how we want to be the leading eHealth company. With Copilot and Windsurf, we’re giving our teams the tools they need to work smarter, feel empowered, and stay inspired. Because extraordinary technology should always serve extraordinary people. And we are glad to make this big step in our Year of the Extraordinary. I’m particularly proud that we leave the decision up to the team on which tool they would like to use. I think we’ve uniquely recognized that in such an early stage in adaption, times change fast and we need to stay flexible. I think this is a good reflection on our goals of empowerment. If you think about it, you wouldn’t want to tell Ronaldo what shoes to wear, why should we do it any differently here?
Adding to this, Chris also emphasizes that empowerment means trust, and the freedom to explore. When people have tools, they believe in and the support to use them creatively, that’s when transformation happens. Not just at the level of one task or one project - but across the whole organization.
Be bold. Lean into the shift. It’s no longer a question of if your company will use AI-driven tools, but when. Sooner is better. Agentic AI doesn’t just improve productivity - it unlocks new potential in every developer. Start small, learn fast, and let curiosity lead the way.
Don't wait for perfect conditions or formal rollouts - experimentation is your best teacher. Encourage your team to play, test, and even fail a little along the way. The real magic happens when developers start talking to agents as collaborators rather than tools. That mindset shift doesn’t just speed up workflows. It sparks innovation at every level.
Most importantly, cultivate a culture of sharing. When one person figures out how to automate a repetitive task, that knowledge should ripple outward. Host internal demos, write how-to guides, and celebrate even small wins. AI will evolve fast, but so will your team’s collective intelligence, if you keep learning together.
Let's discuss it during the community meetup by Rubik Hub, on July 30. This is more than just an invitation - it’s a movement. Whether you're a developer, a tech leader, or simply curious about what Agentic AI can do, now is the time to join the conversation. Come see the tools in action, meet fellow innovators, and discover how you can be part of shaping the future of work in IT. We’re not just embracing a new technology - we’re building a new mindset. See you at the meetup.
