CGM kicks off collaborative event series by ALMA, the Arizona Latin-American Medical Association

May 16, 2014

CGM webPRACTICE is a web-based, or SaaS, practice management system designed for practices to manage all billing and operational needs.

CompuGroup Medical US kicks off its Collaborative Event Series with the sponsorship of an education seminar organized by the Arizona Latin-American Medical Association (ALMA)

The seminar is in support of the association’s efforts to promote the delivery of quality, culturally competent and accessible healthcare for all Arizona residents.

As a healthcare software vendor, CGM facilitates effective healthcare delivery by providing integrated workflow solutions to enhance interactions among healthcare providers and support improved health outcomes for patients. For CGM, this seminar represents the first in a series of planned collaborative events with local healthcare partners that promote best practices for healthcare delivery supported by technology solutions and services.

“At CGM, we know that business is local. We stand for accessibility and proximity to our current as well as prospective customers. We offer reliable healthcare software solutions and are well aware that these have to be complemented by excellence in service. One aspect of this is fostering a close relationship with current as well as prospective customers. Ultimately, it is people who implement and use the software solutions. This is why we will conduct a series of local events in conjunction with our current and prospective customers over the next few months and beyond. We are proud to have the opportunity to kick-off this series by engaging with ALMA and many of its members to discuss important industry topics. It is with pleasure that we are supporting ALMA’s educational efforts here in Phoenix, Arizona, where one of our 6 main offices in the US is also located,” says Norbert Fischl, CEO, CompuGroup Medical US.

As part of the sponsorship, CGM will hold a presentation on the topic: Maintaining Momentum on ICD-10 Clinical Manifestation (CM). “The delay in the implementation of ICD-10 CM presents an extended timeline that providers can use as an opportunity to re-evaluate steps previously taken through continued education,” says Deniese James, Trainer and Manager of Professional Services at CGM.

“We are grateful to the leadership of CGM for supporting ALMA’s efforts to provide a platform for healthcare stakeholders to exchange information on best practices that will not only serve our collective interest but ultimately, that of our patients. CGM’s support is a demonstration of the company’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery,” says Adolfo Echeveste, ALMA’s president and CEO.

Dr. Eduardo Alcántar, a CGM customer and ALMA’s Chairman of the Endowment Committee adds, “I have been a CGM customer for over 10 years now and I have been very satisfied with their CGM webPRACTICE solution. CGM has placed us in a great position to enter the new era of healthcare confidently by providing our practice with reliable mobile technology. What I truly like is that they not only have solid, reliable software solutions, but their entire staff really takes care of you.”

The ALMA education seminar will kick off at 6:30 PM with a reception which will be followed by dinner and the full program. The event is scheduled to take place at Coup des Tartes in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday, May 22, 2014.
