Chris Lohl accepts new role to oversee research and development for CompuGroup Medical US ambulatory information systems division

CompuGroup Medical US has announced that Chris Lohl, former Vice President of Research and Development (R&D) for the company’s web-based products, will now oversee all R&D activities for the complete Ambulatory Information Systems (AIS) portfolio, effective immediately.

Chris joined CGM over three years ago and has achieved significant milestones in enhancing the user experience for the company’s innovative healthcare software solutions. Chris’ success in identifying and designing new technologies to achieve the optimum user experience can be credited to his expertise and passion for innovation.

In addition to overseeing all R&D activities for CGM’s web-based solutions: CGM webEHR™ and CGM webPRACTICE™, in his new role as Vice President of R&D AIS, Chris will also oversee all R&D activities for CGM CLINICAL™, the company’s fully-integrated practice management (PM) and electronic health record (EHR) solution. Chris’ oversight spans multiple functions including Development, Quality Assurance, Product Management and Technical Writing.

Kent Broström, Chief Operating Officer of CGM US said, “Chris has demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction that is founded on advancing the delivery of quality healthcare through cutting-edge technology. His passion and determination to adapt our internal R&D resources to the ever-changing healthcare software landscape is a true reflection of CGM’s core principles. As a company that strives to remain closely aligned with the needs of its customers, our collective goal is centered on the absolute well-being of our customer base. I am confident that the adaptation we have made within our organizational structure will facilitate the translation of innovative technology into vital solutions for the enhancement of healthcare delivery.”

“I consider my new role as an opportunity to replicate the successes that our R&D team has achieved so far with our web-based healthcare software solutions across the entire AIS product portfolio. I look forward to leading the charge to explore new and innovative ways to accomplish additional milestones in the design of the technological architecture that our solutions are built on. I am determined to provide only the best experience that our valued customers deserve at all times — based on clearly defined priorities which align the R&D function closely with our customers’ needs,” said Chris.
