CGM FaceBook Data Protection Policy
In the following, we will inform you which data is processed when you call up our Facebook fan page.
As the operator of our fan page, we receive anonymous visitor statistics (insights), which are compiled by Facebook on the basis of this data. Page insights are aggregated data that can help us understand how users interact with our site. We do not receive personally identifiable information. We therefore do not gain any insight into the individual personal data of visitors to our Facebook page. As the operator of the fan page, we are jointly responsible for the visitor statistics (insights) with Facebook (Art. 26 GDPR), whereby Facebook assumes the main responsibility. The legal basis for the use of Insights data is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR to provide information and communication services for interested parties and customers via social networks. We use this information for economic and communicative purposes, including to remain competitive as a company.
Please note that when you visit our Facebook page, cookies are placed regardless of whether you have a Facebook account or not.
If you have a Facebook account, Facebook collects and processes information when you visit the fan page if you have provided it to your Facebook account. This includes your age, gender, relationship status, professional situation, and information about your lifestyle, interests, and purchases or purchasing behavior (demographics). Facebook also collects and processes geographic information such as your location. This serves Facebook to offer its information offers and advertising in a targeted manner (personalization). Facebook can assign this data to your person.
If you do not have a Facebook account, cookie placement will in any case collect your IP address, information about your device, region or, if applicable, the more specific location where you use it, the time you visit it, the length of time you stay on it, and the demographic data above will be estimated based on your browsing habits.
You can prevent the collection by Facebook of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of our Facebook page (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Facebook by adjusting your cookie settings before accessing the Facebook page. Most browsers have an option that restricts or completely prevents the storage of cookies. However, we would like to point out that the use and in particular the comfort of use are restricted without cookies. You can also activate the "do not track" function in your browser, deactivate script code executions in your browser or use a script blocker.
