A research shows that more and more doctors consider electronical communication with patients the basics of communication at all.

Prague, 16th December 2016 - The majority of doctors prefers the electronical communications tools while communicating with patients and health insurance companies. 9 out of 10 considers electronical communication as a minimum contact form comparable with consultation over the phone or directly in their office, shows the research of CompuGroup Medical Česká republika (CGM).

Computerization of the health care in Czech Republic is on the rise. The proof of that are results of pole conducted by CGM. Even though many of the patients still feel that doctors are not well educated in IT and avoid using computers, the real life is different. In the last research conducted by CGM 85% of the doctors expressed themselves, that secure electronical communication is for them a minimum contact form comparable with consultation over the phone.

The research also confirmed, that most of the doctors wants to have all the available information consolidated in the outpatient information system and does not want to search for them in other system. For example 94% from all who were asked would like to receive the information about positive lists via electronical communications tools, out of that would prefer if they could have search the information directly in their system. Only remaining ¼ would prefer to look for information in the health insurance companies portals.

Czechs are more often in contact with their doctor electronically.

It´s not just doctors, who benefits and saves time by using electronical communication. „Interested about electronical communication are also patients. According our data from June 2016 there is a 50% increase of those patients, who communicate with their doctors online,“ says Vladimír Přikryl and adds: „Through our system CGM LIFE eSERVICES can any patient make an appointment, consult online their problems, request the electronical results of their examinations, or get the eRecept.

In the poll conducted by CGM participated 29. 9. – 21. 10. 2016 GP´s and outpatient doctors in Czech Republic. The research was made on professional medical online page proLékaře.cz.
