Electronic Health Card and Telematics Infrastructure: CompuGroup Medical Verifies the Functionality of All Components for the Reconciliation of Insurant Master Data

CGM Headquarters Koblenz

Koblenz – 26 January 2015: CompuGroup Medical AG successfully conducted the first full test for the update of reconciling insurant master data for the electronic health card (eGK) in the soon-to-be-launched communication network, or telematics infrastructure (TI) for the German healthcare sector. Now there is nothing standing in the way of further tests for additional functions of the eGK and telematics infrastructure as the future comprehensive and secure communication network for the German healthcare sector

CompuGroup Medical has achieved one of its main objectives concerning the topic of interoperability in the testing of OSR1 in the Northwestern test region (Schleswig‐Holstein, North Rhine‐Westphalia and Rhineland‐Palatinate).

A preliminary live]test of a representative sample for the largest networking project in the German healthcare sector was conducted for the contract awarded by the gGesellschaft fur Telematikanwendungen der Gesundheitskarte mbH (gematik)h to the consortium consisting of CGM, strategy& and KoCo Connector at the end of 2013 for the newly developed components and services for the online use the electronic health card. Here, the first update for the reconciliation of insurant master data with the German gCommercial Health Insurance Company (KKH)h via the central network was conducted successfully. The results of this test proved that all components and services developed by the consortium harmonized perfectly.

“With this, an important step has been completed for forthcoming live‐operation testing of the telematics infrastructure in autumn,” said Uwe Eibich, CEO of CompuGroup Medical Deutschland AG.

“We express our gratitude to the German National Associations of Statutory Health Insurance for Physicians and Dentists in our test region,” said Eibich, “Through their valuable advice and active support they have significantly contributed to this great success.” The Physician’s Representatives also expect continued improvements in medical treatment, the cooperation between various specialty areas as well as long‐term financial sustainability of high quality healthcare in Germany from the forthcoming telematics infrastructure.
