CompuGroup Medical also well on track in second quarter

Koblenz. CompuGroup Medical (CGM) is looking back once again at a solid quarter. Although the second quarter of 2020 was significantly affected by the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Koblenz based CompuGroup Medical, one of the largest providers of e-Health solutions worldwide, is well on track financially. CGM is expecting continued positive business performance due to increasing digitizing in healthcare and corresponding measures by the government and the economy. Against this background, CGM is well set to continue the current investment and growth path, supported by a share placement at the end of June resulting in gross proceeds of approximately EUR 341 million.

CompuGroup Medical further drives digitization in healthcare: first e-health connector approved

Koblenz. Today, KoCoBox MED+ from CompuGroup Medical Deutschland AG (CGM), the first e-health connector received approval from gematik for a nationwide rollout. KoCoBox MED+, which is well-known and installed tens of thousands of times in Germany, will therefore receive an e-health software upgrade for the new Telematics Infrastructure (TI) medical applications without any hardware replacement need. With this update, Emergency Data Management (NFDM) and the Electronic Medication Plan (eMP) will provide noticeable added value for patients who receive medical treatment in more than 55,000 medical and dental practices. The approval now also allows CGM installations in pharmacies. CGM has already received about 3,000 orders, whose implementation can now begin immediately.

CompuGroup Medical completes acquisition of parts of Cerner's European hospital information system business

Koblenz. CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. KGaA (CGM) has acquired parts of Cerner's business in Germany and Spain. The transaction was announced in February and was completed today. The acquired parts of the company will be fully included in the group consolidation as of July 1st, 2020.

CompuGroup successfully completes placement of shares over approx. EUR 341 million to finance further growth

Koblenz. CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. KGaA (CGM), one of the leading eHealth companies worldwide, has successfully completed its capital measure as announced yesterday by way of an accelerated bookbuilding process (“Accelerated Bookbuilding Process”) under the exclusion of the existing shareholders' subscription rights. A total of 5,321,935 shares were placed at a price of EUR 64.00 each. Gross proceeds from the placement for the Company amount to approx. EUR 341 million.

Koblenz. CompuGroup Medical (CGM), one of the leading eHealth companies in the world, is now operating as a partnership limited by shares (KGaA). The change of legal form from a European Company (SE) into a KGaA became effective today after it was entered in the commercial register at the Lower Court of Koblenz. 'The conversion into a KGaA gives us the greatest possible flexibility to secure our growth ambitions and solid value development. At the same time, the Gotthardt family will remain as anchor shareholders, fostering the entrepreneurial perspective and maintaining the founder's spirit,' explains Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Michael Rauch.

Koblenz. CompuGroup Medical SE, one of the leading eHealth companies worldwide, held its Annual General Meeting, virtually, today for the first time. This became necessary due to the social distancing regulations in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which continue to apply. With a majority of 75.67 %, the shareholders of the MDAX company decided to change its legal form into a partnership limited by shares (Kommanditgesellschaft auf Aktien, KGaA). This gives the company additional flexibility in financing future growth and continues to bind the Gotthardt family closely to the company as reliable anchor shareholders.

Telematics Infrastructure – start of installations for field testing of the new KIM communications standard

Koblenz. The new KIM communications standard is about to undergo testing at 50 doctor’s surgeries, 16 dental practices, four Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (Kassenärztliche Vereinigungen) and one hospital. gematik has now issued CompuGroup Medical Deutschland AG (CGM) with the necessary approval for this field test of KIM to take place, and installation works at the participating institutions commenced last week. One of the aspects to be covered will be the exchange of secure and signed doctor’s letters between the various establishments.

COVID-19: CompuGroup Medical provides telemonitoring to relieve hospitals

Koblenz. COVID-19 patients who remain in home quarantine after inpatient hospital treatment can be treated further and their vital signs are monitored. For other patients, hospitalization may be reduced or may even be prevented completely. This is ensured by a telemonitoring system that CompuGroup Medical SE (CGM) is currently introducing in Italy via its lately acquired company H&S Qualità nel Software SpA. H&S has more than 20 years of experience in this segment and already several Italian hospitals as users. Subsequently it is planned to roll out the system in Germany and other countries. As part of a monitoring system, the H&S Health Platform enables recording vital parameters wirelessly, transmit them to practitioners and alert them immediately in case of an emergency. The software is a certified medical device and has been in use for many years.

Corona virus: Many doctors opt for video consultation

Koblenz. Already 5’000 doctors have decided to register for CLICKDOC VIDEOSPRECHSTUNDE in the context of the current corona virus wave. Since last week, CompuGroup Medical (CGM) has been providing doctors with its video consultation solution free of charge. This enables doctors, practice teams and other patients to escape the risk of infection by patients suspected of being infected with Covid-19 in many cases.

Telematics Infrastructure: Doctors to test NFDM and eMP

Koblenz. CompuGroup Medical Deutschland AG (CGM) has been installing the necessary components for testing the new applications in the Telematics Infrastructure (TI) since this week. Immediately after installation, the service providers involved were able to start testing the applications Emergency Data Management (Notfalldatenmanagement, NFDM), Electronic Medication Plan (eMP), and Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) in doctor's offices and pharmacies using the KoCoBoxMED+ e-health connector.

CompuGroup Medical acquires EPSILOG SAS

Koblenz, December 27 2019 – CompuGroup Medical SE (CGM) is acquiring 100 % of EPSILOG SAS (EPSILOG), based in Castries, France. Today, CompuGroup Medical SE, as purchaser, and Hevanance S.à r.l. and Goodwill Systems S.à r.l., as sellers, have signed an agreement regarding the sale and purchase of 100 % of the shares in MB Invest SAS which is the sole owner of EPSILOG SAS. EPSILOG's key product is VEGA, an ambulatory information system with a leading position in French healthcare IT for psychotherapists and nurses. CompuGroup Medical is thereby strengthening its position in France, complementing its portfolio to address new customer groups in France. The agreed purchase price for EPSILOG amounts to EUR 72 million and is subject to further adjustments post-closing. In 2018, EPSILOG SAS had revenues of more than EUR 14 million and an EBITDA of approximately EUR 5 million with 44.000 customers.

First eHealth connector receives approval for use in telematics infrastructure

CompuGroup Medical Deutschland AG (CGM) is the first manufacturer to receive gematik's approval for the use of an eHealth connector, the KoCoBox MED, in telematics infrastructure (TI). For the first time in medical care, new eHealth applications, such as emergency data management (Notfalldatenmanagement, NFDM) and the electronic medication plan (Elektronischer Medikationsplan, eMP), can now be stored on the electronic health card (Elektronische Gesundheitskarte, eGK). With this approval, CGM once again confirms its responsibility as market leader and sets another important milestone in the digitization of the healthcare system.
