Although the second quarter of 2020 was significantly affected by the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Koblenz based CompuGroup Medical, one of the largest providers of e-Health solutions worldwide, is well on track financially. CGM is expecting continued positive business performance due to increasing digitizing in healthcare and corresponding measures by the government and the economy. Against this background, CGM is well set to continue the current investment and growth path, supported by a share placement at the end of June resulting in gross proceeds of approximately EUR 341 million.

CompuGroup Medical further drives digitization in healthcare: first e-health connector approvedKoblenz. Today, KoCoBox MED+ from CompuGroup Medical Deutschland AG (CGM), the first e-health connector received approval from gematik for a nationwide rollout. KoCoBox MED+, which is well-known and installed tens of thousands of times in Germany, will therefore receive an e-health software upgrade for the new Telematics Infrastructure (TI) medical applications without any hardware replacement need. With this update, Emergency Data Management (NFDM) and the Electronic Medication Plan (eMP) will provide noticeable added value for patients who receive medical treatment in more than 55,000 medical and dental practices. The approval now also allows CGM installations in pharmacies. CGM has already received about 3,000 orders, whose implementation can now begin immediately.

KGaA (CGM) has acquired parts of Cerner's business in Germany and Spain. The transaction was announced in February and was completed today. The acquired parts of the company will be fully included in the group consolidation as of July 1st, 2020.

KGaA (CGM), one of the leading eHealth companies worldwide, has successfully completed its capital measure as announced yesterday by way of an accelerated bookbuilding process (“Accelerated Bookbuilding Process”) under the exclusion of the existing shareholders' subscription rights. A total of 5,321,935 shares were placed at a price of EUR 64.00 each. Gross proceeds from the placement for the Company amount to approx. EUR 341 million.

The new KIM communications standard is about to undergo testing at 50 doctor’s surgeries, 16 dental practices, four Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (Kassenärztliche Vereinigungen) and one hospital. gematik has now issued CompuGroup Medical Deutschland AG (CGM) with the necessary approval for this field test of KIM to take place, and installation works at the participating institutions commenced last week. COVID-19 patients who remain in home quarantine after inpatient hospital treatment can be treated further and their vital signs are monitored. For other patients, hospitalization may be reduced or may even be prevented completely. This is ensured by a telemonitoring system that CompuGroup Medical SE (CGM) is currently introducing in Italy via its lately acquired company H&S Qualità nel Software SpA. H&S has more than 20 years of experience in this segment and already several Italian hospitals as users. Subsequently it is planned to roll out the system in Germany and other countries. As part of a monitoring system, the H&S Health Platform enables recording vital parameters wirelessly, transmit them to practitioners and alert them immediately in case of an emergency. The software is a certified medical device and has been in use for many years.

CompuGroup Medical acquires EPSILOG SASKoblenz, December 27 2019 – CompuGroup Medical SE (CGM) is acquiring 100 % of EPSILOG SAS (EPSILOG), based in Castries, France. Today, CompuGroup Medical SE, as purchaser, and Hevanance S.à r.l. and Goodwill Systems S.à r.l., as sellers, have signed an agreement regarding the sale and purchase of 100 % of the shares in MB Invest SAS which is the sole owner of EPSILOG SAS. EPSILOG's key product is VEGA, an ambulatory information system with a leading position in French healthcare IT for psychotherapists and nurses. CompuGroup Medical is thereby strengthening its position in France, complementing its portfolio to address new customer groups in France. The agreed purchase price for EPSILOG amounts to EUR 72 million and is subject to further adjustments post-closing. In 2018, EPSILOG SAS had revenues of more than EUR 14 million and an EBITDA of approximately EUR 5 million with 44.000 customers.
