CompuGroup Medical SE (hereinafter referred to as 'CGM') is pleased that you have visited its website and are interested in our company, its products and services. It is important to us to protect your personal data while you visit our website. In the sections below, we explain how personal data is handled and used by CGM while you browse our web pages.

Personal data
Personal data includes any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. This includes information such as your real name, address, telephone number. Information that cannot be directly linked to your real identity - such as favorite websites or the number of visits to a page - is not considered personal data.

Collection and processing of personal data
For security reasons, when you visit our website, our web servers always temporarily cache some data for security reasons. This includes the connection details of your computer, the web pages that you visit within our website, the date and duration of your visit, the identification data of your browser and operation system as well as the website through which you reached our website. Additional personal information such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address is not collected unless you provide this data voluntarily, e.g. for the purpose of user registration, participation in a survey, entering into a business transaction or a general request for information.

Utilization and sharing of personal data
All personal data made available by you to CompuGroup Medical AG shall be used exclusively for the technical administration of the website, the answering of your queries and the fulfillment of your requests. Such requests normally concern agreed business transactions. Provided that you have given your consent, you personal data might be used for product-related surveys or marketing purposes.

CGM does not share, sell, transfer or otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties, unless this is required for the purpose of the fulfillment of a contract or unless you have explicitly authorized CGM to do so. For instance, it may be necessary to pass on your name and address to a contractor in order to fulfill your order.

Information from CGM Group
CGM and its subsidiaries would like to stay in contact with you in order to inform you of our latest offers and provide you with other news regarding our products and services. If you register your details on our website, we request you to notify us whether you wish to receive such information. Customers of CGM will, of course, always receive all information on any changes which are relevant to their contracts, such as notifications of new software releases.

Cookies are small files that a website can send to your browser and which may then be stored on your computer’s hard drive. They act as a tag that identifies your computer, but not you personally, as you browse our website. CGM uses cookies to track the number of visits to our web pages in order to learn how visitors use the site, and how we can improve it. Cookies enable CGM to optimize the website's user interface by 'recognizing' you as a repeat visitor. In this case, we can provide you with the information that might be most relevant to you or has been recently added to our website. The content of a cookie is limited to an identification number. Details such as your name, IP address, etc. are not stored and we do not compile an individual profile of your online activities.

Our website can however also be visited if you reject cookies. In your browser settings, you have the option to disable cookies, to allow cookies only for specific websites or to receive a notification the moment a cookie is sent to your computer. You can also delete cookies at any time from your hard disk ('Cookies' folder). If you reject cookies, you might however have difficulty navigating parts of our website.

CGM takes all necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against loss or misuse. For instance, your data is saved in a secure operating environment, which is not publicly accessible and to which only authorized personnel CGM has access. In certain cases, your personal data is encrypted by Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL) during transmission. This means that an approved encryption procedure is used for communication between your computer and the respective CGM servers, provided that your browser supports SSL.

Should you wish to contact CGM by e-mail, we would like to point out that confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. The contents of e-mail messages can be read by third parties. We therefore recommend sending all confidential information by standard mail.

Right of information
Upon written request, we shall inform you of the personal data (e.g. name, address) we have stored about you.
